Wolhaupter, Scalesse Shine at All-New England Championships

EASTON, Mass. – Junior Ben Wolhaupter placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 15 feet, nine inches to earn All-New England honors at the All-New England Championships at Stonehill College, featuring athletes from Division I, II and III.

The vault moved him up ten spots from 19th to ninth on the Division III national list, the top 20 in each event will get an invite to the NCAA Division III Championships in two weeks.

Junior All-American Adam Scalesse, also had a big day as he placed second in the 400 hurdles posting a school-record time of 52.88 in the preliminaries to move 16 spots from 24th to eighth on the Division III national list.

Scalesse also ran a 14.69 and won his heat in the 110 hurdles, an event in which, he has the fastest time in Division III this season.

He will compete in the finals in both the 110 and 400 hurdles tomorrow.
