WESTWOOD, Mass. --

After an outstanding sophomore campaign, sprinter Ian Naff (Arlington, VA) has been named the NEWMAC Men's Track Athlete of the year.

Naff helped the Bears to a third place finish in the NEWMAC by winning both the 200 meters and 400 meters, crowning himself the NEWMAC Champion in both events. Ian was also the anchor of the 3rd place NEWMAC, and school record holder 4x100 meter relay. He was no stranger to school records on the individual side this year either, breaking the 200 meter record(21.51) that previously stood for over 20 years and 400 meter record(47.82) that stood for over 40. 

Naff will look to continue his excellent season at the NED3 Outdoor Championships hosted by Coast Guard this weekend before heading to the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships at UMass on May 9th.
