BOSTON, Mass.— Junior All-American Adam Scalesse set a school record and was the top finisher for Coast Guard placing 8th in the 60 meter hurdles at the All Division New England Championships at Boston University.

Scalesse qualified for finals after running an 8.20 and an 8.22 in prelims and semifinals. In the finals of the hurdles, Scalesse posted a career best and school record time of 8.11. His time is the third fastest time currently in Division III.

Also posting season bests were Jordan Lee in the 800 meters running 1:54.77 and Ben Hannon in the 400 meters crossing the finish on 50.66.

Coast Guard also had season best times in three relay events. The Distance Medley Relay team of freshman Park Suski, sophomore Kelcey Smith, sophomore James Dawkins and junior Brad Pienta finished in a season best time of 10:35.62.

Sophomore Ben Hannon, Dawkins, Smith, and Scalesse teamed up to run a 3:20.98 in the 4x400 relay.

In the men's 4x800 meter relay, junior Jordan Lee, along with sophomores Zach Kearney, Joe Kelly and James Martin ran the fastest 4x800 of the season posting a time of 7:48.65 placing 13th.

Coast Guard is back in action on Friday at the ECAC Championships at the New York Armory.
