Wildsmith wins national championship in high jump

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –

With her jump of 1.77 meters at the Division III National Championships in Rochester, NY, Allie Wildsmith(Bainbridge Island, WA) was crowned the National Champion in the high jump.

"Allie's carried herself like a champion from the beginning of the competition." said Head Coach Ethan Brown. "She was cool, calm, and collected the entire time and stayed focused on what she needed to do for each jump. This is a huge step for her collegiate career and I'm really excited for what's to come in the outdoor season."

Wildsmith is just the third woman in Coast Guard history to win the national championship, following Michelle Kwafo(2023 Outdoor Track 100 meters) and Kaitlyn Mooney(2019 Indoor Track 5000 meters).
