Kosack Sets Record and Places 5th at Holy Cross Decathlon

WORCESTER, Mass.—Junior Clay Kosack  set a personal best and placed fifth in a field of 21 competitors from Divisions I, II and III at the Holy Cross Decathlon.

Kosack scored 6,098 points over two days setting a personal record. In the 110 hurdles he ran 16.81. In the discus, he threw 107 feet, two inches and cleared a height of 12 feet, 7.5 inches in the pole vault.

In the javelin, Kosack put up a personal record of 159 feet, two inches and to close out the day, Kosack was the 3rd in the 1500 meter run crossing the finish in a career best time of 4:39.20.

He is now ranked eighth in Division III in the decathlon.
