RICHMOND, Va. — 

The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its annual Scholar All-America teams for the 2026 Spring semester. This year's list was released last Wednesday, July 1st, and features a total of 714 teams representing 418 institutions and 16,680 student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA, and the NJCAA.

Teams must have a collective grade point average of 3.00 or higher to qualify for Scholar All-America. Both sides of the United States Coast Gurd Academy swim & dive program qualified, with the women sporting a 3.50 GPA and the men turning in a 3.36 mark. Coast Guard featured as one of seven New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) institutions to make the women's list, led by a 3.77 collective GPA from Smith College, while the men's team joined three fellow NEWMAC schools on their side, with MIT's 3.80 pacing the group.

Coast Guard also turned in the top marks of all featured United States federal service academies. Air Force and Navy slotted into the NCAA Division I roster with respective GPAs of 3.27 and 3.25 on the women's side and 3.22 and 3.20 from the men. The Bears' archrivals from the United States Merchant Marine Academy also squeezed both sides into the Division III list, with their women sporting a 3.06 and the men's team submitting a 3.09 mark.

The CSCAA also released their 2025-26 Individual Scholar All-America Teams on July 1st, which featured over 2,230 student-athletes across the three NCAA divisions, the NAIA, and the NJCAA. Honorees are split into First Team and Second Team Scholar All-Americans, with both sides needing a 3.50 GPA or higher to be considered. Additionally, First Team selections must have qualified for their national championship across all levels, while Second Teamers must have met an NCAA B-cut qualifying standard or competed in a diving zone qualification meet for NCAA Divisions II and III and the NAIA.

Representing Coast Guard on the Division III team were rising senior Noah Reice (Wilmington, Del.) and rising junior Grant Hudson (Peachtree City, Ga.). Reice, a Management major, was the lone Bear to make the trip to the 2026 Division III National Championships in Indianapolis back in March, where he earned an All-America Honorable Mention nod in the 50-yard freestyle and a pair of All-America distinctions in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly races. Hudson, who studies Electrical Engineering, earned his spot as a Second Teamer thanks to a B-cut effort in the 400-yard freestyle relay during NEWMAC Championships.

The duo joined 18 other NEWMAC student-athletes in the distinction, with 15 of those selections coming from MIT. Reice and Hudson were also two of a total 16 cadet-athletes from U.S. federal service academies to be recognized, of which Navy and Air Force combined for 11 selections while Merchant Marine had three.
