Bears Compete at UMass Lowell and Trinity (Conn.) Invites

Coast Guard men's track & field was split between two events today for their action this weekend, competing at UMass Lowell's George Davis Invitational and closer to home at the Trinity Invitational. Multiple bears submitted strong performances at both events.

George Davis Invitational (hosted by UMass Lowell)
Sophomore sprinter Ian Naff (Arlington, Va.) earned placement in two events, securing the runner-up spot in the 200 meters with 22.05 time; and placing fifth in the 100 meters at 11.13. Freshman teammate Garrett Lamb (La Vernia, Tex.) was eighth in the 100 at 11.23, while both him and Naff joined up with first-year Tytan Moore (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and junior Glenn Patrick (Fairhope, Ala.) in the 4x100 relay. The group ran 42.76, good for the program's fifth-fastest time.

Moore had two big performances in the pit, posting lifetime bests in the long jump and triple jump. The freshman was third in the triple with a top mark of 13.68 meters (44' 10.75") and fourth in long jump at 6.70 meters (21' 11.75").
