Bears men compete at Wesleyan Invite

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --

Freshman Tytan Moore(St. Petersburg, FL) was the third place finisher in the triple jump hitting a qualifying performance for the New England D3 Championships. Moore lept 13.04m (42'9.5")

Scott Bayliss(Hudson, OH) was 5th in the high jump clearing a bar at 1.80 (5' 10.75). Coast Guard's pole vaulters Liam Kuperman(Lewiston, NY) and Kevin Miner(Gainesville, VA) placed 2nd and 4th clearing bars at 3.85m (12' 7.5") and 3.70m (12' 1'.75") respectively.

Adrian Ililau(Foror City, Palau) was 7th overall in the long jump with a season best mark of 6.20m (20' 4"). Ililau was also 9th in the 60 meter dash running 7.30.

In the throwing events, sophomore Vincent Grillo(Wilmington, DE) was 3rd in the shot put with a top performance of 13.55m (44' 5.5"). Senior Philip Kirby(North Andover, MA) was 5th in the weight throw with a toss of 14.73m (48' 4").

Sophomore Jack Cura(Cape May, NJ) was the runner up in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:54.61. Freshman Grant Cross(Rome, GA) was 5th in the 3000 meters running 10:04.22.

The Bears will next compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at the New Balance Track in Boston, Massachusetts.
