NEW LONDON, Conn. –

With a time of 4:39.42 in the 500 yard freestyle, senior captain and 2023-24 All-American Sean Lyman(Pennsburg, PA) now owns the pool record in the event. Lyman's victory in the 500 free netted CGA nine points towards what ultimately was a 197-87 win for the Bears over Wheaton.

Beyond Lyman in the 500 yard free, the Bears men won 12 other events in the evening: 200 Yard IM(Lyman), One Meter Dive(Drew Harris), Three Meter Dive(Colbrin Blanchette), 100 Yard Free(Colin Twiss), 100 Yard Butterfly(Charles Gaines), 100 Yard Breaststroke(Blaise Minckler), 200 Yard Freestyle(Luke Giguere), 200 Yard Breastroke(Blaise Minckler), 200 Yard Backstroke(Isaak Fowkes), 200 Yard Butterfly(Noah Reice), 1000 Yard Freestyle(Twiss), and 400 Yard Medley Relay(Zach McGowen, John Kaleta, Noah Reice, & Colin Twiss).

The loss drops the Wheaton Lyons to 1-3 on the year. They will face Springfield College on the road tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

The victory for Coast Guard continues their hot start, moving them to 4-0 to start the 24-25 campaign. They too get right back at it tomorrow, hosting Roger Williams at 12:00 PM.
