INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —
United States Coast Guard Academy junior swimmer
Noah Reice (Wilmington, Del.) opened his three-day stay at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships by earning All-America Honorable Mention honors in the 50-yard freestyle. Reice posted a top 16 time during the morning prelims to qualify for the distinction.
The junior's trial time of 20.14 seconds sized up to 15th overall in the field of 49 swimmers who qualified for nationals in the event. The top eight times in the morning trials earned full All-America distinction and a spot in the evening session's championship race. Reice's and the other 9th-16th swimmers also competed that evening in the consolation final, where he placed sixth with a time of 20.26 seconds.
Reice will continue pursuing his National Champion aspirations tomorrow when he takes on the 100-yard freestyle prelims during tomorrow's morning session. All event trials for day two are slated to start at 10:00 AM ET. He'll enter the event with a seed time of 46.94, the fourth fastest time in the national field.
