Reice swims to 4th in 100 Fly on day two of Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —

United States Coast Guard Academy junior swimmer Noah Reice (Wilmington, Del.) placed fourth overall in the 100-yard butterfly during Thursday's second day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships. The placement marks back-to-back All-American distinctions in the event for Reice, who was an Honorable Mention at last year's meet.

Reice started his day in the morning prelims, where he competed in the final and fastest heat of the 100 Fly trials. He finished with the fourth fastest time in the field of 47.21 seconds, earning his first full All-American distinction in the event and putting him well within the top eight times that advanced to the evening session's national final. In the championship race, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference's (NEWMAC) Swimmer of the Year raced against four men who earned the same honor from their respective conferences. He placed fourth again in the stacked field with a time of 47.40 seconds, following third place by a tenth of a second photo finish.

The Delaware product will close out his trip to Indianapolis tomorrow by competing in the 200-year freestyle. He'll enter preliminaries with the field's ninth overall seed time. The morning session will open at 10:00 AM ET.
