Box Score 2 MADISON, N.j. - The women's soccer team competed in the Drew Fall Festival over the weekend, dropping games to Drew and Stockton.
In game one, the Bears found themselves down early on to the Rangers, as Drew struck in under a minute. Coast Guard got off nine shots in the first half, but was unable to connect. Heading into the break, CGA was down, 2-0.
In the second half, Coast Guard was able to find the back of the net in the 65th minute off a goal by
Sidney Palinkas. Despite the new momentum, the Bears weren't able to make the comeback, ultimately falling, 3-1.
Game two was a closer match. Coast Guard fell to Stockton by only one, with a final score of 1-0.
Despite dropping the game, the Bears held the Osprey to just one goal, which came in the first half.
CGA had 18 total shots and
Emily Scharnitzky had five saves for the Bears.
Coast Guard will have its home opener on September 13th against Conn College at 6 PM.
