Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Coast Guard Baseball closed out its trip to Myrtle Beach taking on Catholic University, falling with a score of 11-2.
It was a pitching battle for much of the game. Neither team got on the board until the sixth inning. Greg Boland singled to right field in the bottom half, bringing in Blake Carroll to give the Bears a 1-0 lead.
Catholic put up three of its own in the top of the seventh. Coast Guard answered with one in the bottom off a single by Justin Stasiak. However, the Bears would not score again for the remainder of the game as the Cardnials would add eight more.
Coast Guard will have a few days off before taking on Manhattanville in a doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 12 PM.
