GREENSBORO, N.C. —
The United States Coast Guard Academy baseball team has been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) for their efforts on the field and in the classroom by receiving the organization's annual Team Academic Excellence Award.
Over 500 collegiate programs were named recipients of the honor, which recognizes ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. The Bears were one of 200 schools to make the NCAA Division III list, seven of which were from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
The selection marks the sixth consecutive season that the Bears have received the honor. Additionally, Coast Guard was joined by their archrivals from the United States Merchant Marine Academy as the only federal service academies to be honored.
