NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Coast Guard Men's Basketball did not fold or go down easy, fighting hard all game, to just fall to Clark University in New England Women and Men's Athletic Conference Play, 79-66. 

In the first half, the Bears jumped on the board first, outscoring the Cougars 5-0 in the first two minutes of the game. However, Clark would fight back and would tie Coast Guard 13-13 with a little over 11 minutes left in the first half. Coast Guard would take the lead for one last time from an Elijah Parent three-pointer at seven minutes left in the first, for a Bears lead of 24-21. The Cougars would come back and would lead going into halftime, 38-24. 

During the second half, Coast Guard could not seem to stop Clark's offense. Despite scoring more points than Clark in the second, scoring 42 points to Clark's 41, CGA could not seem to close the gap. 

Declan Rooney led the Bears with 14 points from the bench followed by; Bryce VanderWiere, Elijah Parent and Trevor Parks with 12 a piece. Luke Farrell and Bryce VanderWiere also picked up seven boards each on the night. 

Coast Guard looks to pick themseleves back up this weekend as they face MIT on the road, this Saturday, February 4th at 1 PM.
