Men's Hoops Falls in Non-Conference Finale

Danbury, Connecticut - The US Coast Guard Academy Men's Basketball team dropped their final non-conference game of the season, closing out 2022 and turning the page onto a conference play in 2023.
 
The City College of New York (CCNY) was led by Yasmine Sahki, scoring 24 points, while Daniel Piszczatowski added 20 points. At the end of gameplay, the Beavers walked away with a 75-65 victory over the Bears. Coast Guard was led by 3/c Ben Yagey who had 14 points, while 3/c Abe Countryman contributed 12 points. The game was a back and forth struggle as the lead changed hands 11 times before CCNY finally pulled away by connecting on five of six free throws at the end of the final stanza to seal the victory.
 
CCNY improves to 6-6 on the season, while Coast Guard falls to 2-9. The Bears are back in action on January 4th, 2023 when they host Wheaton College (MA) in their New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference opener at 4pm EST in Alumni Gym.
