NEW LONDON, Conn. —
Football's entire offensive line and
Annabel Molner (Bremen, Germany) of women's cross country have been selected as the CoastGuardAthletics.com Athletes of the Week, presented by First Command (week ending September 21st).
Football tallied 713 yards of total offense in their historic 92-60 win over Nichols College this past Saturday, and the offensive line had a part to play in every bit of it. The men in the trenches held strong to help their team tally 398 passing yards and cleared the way for five rushers to combine for 315 yards on the ground. Making appearances on the line were

Gage Gehrke (La Jolla, Calif.),
Jay Martin (Newton, N.J.),
Colin Jensen (Cibolo, Tex.),
Josh Usry (Manakin Sabot, Va.), and
Collin Donahue (Reading, Mass.).
Molner was Coast Guard's #2 overall runner at Wesleyan University's Cardinal Invitational on Friday. The junior ran 22:24 to finish 17th in the field, with her time being a new personal best by over 30 seconds. She also moved up to 12th on the women's cross country program's all-time 6k list
The offensive line and the rest of the football team open up NEWMAC this upcoming Saturday, traveling to Worcester Polytechnic Institute to play the Engineers at noon. Molner and women's cross country are off this weekend to recover and prepare for the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University, on October 3rd.
