NEW LONDON, Conn —
William Wolf (Front Royal, Pa.) has been appointed to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Wolf was recognized for his performance in football's 34-24 win over Curry College this past Saturday, in which he recorded 12 tackles, five of which were solo, and half of a sack. He was a key part of a broader bounce back effort for the Bears' defense, which allowed Curry to score just once in the second half after allowing 54 points in Coast Guard's Week 1 overtime loss at the University of New England.
The senior edge rusher is the second player to be selected to the website's weekly national honor roll, following junior running back
Harrison Hensley's (Riverview, Fla.) selection in Week 1. Priot to Hensley, the last time a Bear made the Team of the Week was 2020.
Wolf and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy football team play at home again this weekend, hosting Nichols College (0-2) in the annual Homecoming Game. The Bison will be looking for similar results to last season's 56-47 shoot-out win in Dudley, but will need a turn of luck after allowing over 40 points in their first two games of 2025.
