Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn.  -  Coast Guard tennis fell, 1-6, to visitors MIT today in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action.

The Bears move to 2-11 overall and 1-4 in conference play, while MIT improves their season stock to 7-6 and 4-1 against league opponents. The Engineers will take on #12 Middlebury College (8-5) tomorrow for their next one.

Coast Guard's lone point of the day came from Ben Bonetto (Bend, Oreg.) who persevered to an electric win on the #1 court. The sophomore dropped the first set, 4-6, before bouncing back for a 6-3 win in set two to set up the tiebreaker. Bonetto won the outlasted his opponent to take a 7-6 victory in the deciding set and improved his individual record this season to 8-3.

Bears tennis is back to it on April 14th in non-conference action against #36 Brandeis University (6-4). Coast Guard triumphed with a slim 5-4 margin in last season's battle.
