WORCESTER, Mass. - Coast Guard women's swimming & diving wrapped up the 2025 NEWMAC Championships with a slew of respectable performances en route to a second-place overall finish. MIT repeated as champions and won all major awards.
Liliana Feyk (Carlsbad, Calif.) started the night with a fifth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle after swimming 17:55.44;
Zoe Suhajda (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was eighth at 18:28.44. Next was the 200-yard backstroke, which saw
Samantha Halvorson (Chesapeake, Va.) take the top finish for the Bears in sixth place with 2:06.58;
Isabel Robey (Warrenton, Va.) was ninth at 2:08.91 followed by
Colleen Read (Annandale, Va.) in tenth at 2:12.73.

Ellie Hiestand (Telford, Pa.) was the team's only competitor in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing fourth with a time of 2:22.56. In the 200-yard butterfly,
Megan Doubrava (Aurora, Colo.) was the top finisher for Coast Guard in fifth place after going for 2:09.91; just behind her, in seventh, was
Grace Keogh (Erie, Colo.) and her 2:09.91.
The final event of the night was the 400-yard freestyle relay, which saw the team of Robey,
Tailyn Schaufelberger (Austin, Tex.), Hiestand, and Keogh finish sixth after completing the race in 3:35.56.
Coast Guard finished second in the ten-team field, runners-up again to MIT who won their 14th-straight NEWMAC Championship. Final standings below:
