NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Today CGA Baseball played in a non-conference matchup with Elms College, winning 11–6.
In the top of the first, The Blazers got two-up on the Bears.
However, in the bottom of the third, Freshman Richard Barkley hit a three-run homer to give CGA the 3-2 lead.
The Bears added one more in the fourth, then went on a five-run rally in the bottom of the fifth to lead the Blazers 9-2.
Elms and CGA both added two runs apiece in the sixth to make it an 11-4 score. Elms added two more in the seventh and held the Bears to no score in the bottom of the inning.
Their efforts would not be enough to top the Bears however, and CGA would take the game 11-6.

CGA is back in conference action this Saturday, April 8th, as they play a doubleheader on the road against Emerson.
