Tennis Beats Clark, Advances to NEWMAC Semifinals

NEW LONDON, Conn. - #4 seed Coast Guard Tennis hosted the #5 seed Clark in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships Semifinals, taking down the Cougars, 5-0.

In doubles action, the Bears took a commanding 3-0 out of the gate. Myles Decoste and Charles Norman were 8-1 winners at one doubles. Seniors Banks Evans and James Vuille-Kowing teamed up at two doubles and secured an 8-4 victory on senior day. Benjamin Carlander and Logan De Los Santos also beat their opponent, 8-4, at three doubles. 

In singles, Evans notched the first win with a 6-0 and 6-1 victory at three singles. Norman clinched the win with a 6-1 and 6-0 victory at two singles. 

Coast Guard advances to the semifinals to take on #1 seed Babson at 10:30 AM on April 22nd.
