NORTON, Mass. - Baseball was on the road facing Wheaton, hitting three homers to hand the Lyons their first conference loss with a final of 8-6.

The Bears struck early with a single in the top of the first by Parker Madden that scored Blake Carroll to give CGA the 1-0 lead.

Wheaton tied it up and eventually took the lead in the bottom of the second. However, Coast Guard was ready to give the Lyons a challenge.

CGA got one back in the top of the third off a single by John Carroll to score B. Carroll. In the bottom half of the inning, the Lyons extended their lead making the Bears trail, 5-2 heading into the fourth.

Coast Guard cut the lead to one in the top with singles by Luke Percifield and Justin Stasiak to bring two across the plate.

Heading into the top of the eighth, the Bears found themselves down by two with six more outs to battle for the lead. Parker Madden started the rally with the first homer for the Bears to tie up the at six. The ninth inning saw the other two homers, one by Percifield and the other by B. Carroll, ultimatley powering CGA ahead to give them the 8-6 win. 

Madden led the Bears for the day with two hits and three RBIs. 

CGA now stands at 5-5 in conference after handing Wheaton its first conference loss.

Coast Guard will take on WPI, at home, on April 21st at 3:30.
