Bears Can't Connect Against MIT

Box Score

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Today, Men's Lacrosse continued New England Women and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play against MIT.

Coast Guard's Ryan Hunter was first to get on the board on either side. However, MIT's Ryan Gebhardt answered back about forty seconds later.

After the first fifteen, CGA trailed by just three. In the second quarter, the Engineers would go on a run and would lead 15-5 after the first half.

CGA would add four goals in the third quarter but would still trail starting the final.

Despite the Bears outscoring the Engineers 8-3 in the fourth, their efforts would not be enough to top the Engineers, and they would fall 24-16.

Ian Feely led the Bears with five goals on the day. Ryan Hunter and Gaige Kruger each had three goals and two assists against MIT.

CGA was 19 for 22 in clear attempts and scooped up 27 ground balls.

The Bears will look to redeem themselves this Tuesday, April 18th, as they face Connecticut College on their home field at 6 PM.
