MLAX's Christian recognized with NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference nod

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. —

USCGA men's lacrosse sophomore Ezekiel Christian (Stonington, Conn.) has been recognized for his stellar play by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) with a Second Team All-Conference nod, as announced by the conference in their men's lacrosse postseason awards release on Thursday.

Christian, the 2025 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, earned his first career All-Conference honors in recognition of being the motor of a Coast Guard team that reached the semifinals of the conference play-offs. He recorded 57 points on 28 goals and 29 assists in his second collegiate season, reaching a season-high seven points during three games along the way. One of those games was the Bears' 10-8 win over Salve Regina University in the NEWMAC Tournament play-in game, in which he had four goals and three assists.

The sophomore was one of the NEWMAC's top playmakers by way of his 1.93 assists per game, good for second among the league ranks, while his 3.80 points per game was fourth in the conference. Christian contributed to one of the highlights of the Bears men's lax season when he assisted on Noah Heller's (Baltimore, Md.) overtime game-winner at NEWMAC foes Clark University. The helper was one of a career-high five for Christian in the 15-14 win. He'd hit another career-best just a week later when he scored five goals in a 14-3 league victory against Emerson College.
