Baseball Drops a Pair to Centenary

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., - Baseball continues their Spring Break Trip in Myrtle Beach, dropping two games to Centenary (N.J.) yesterday.

In game one, Coast Guard took the lead first off an RBI single by Wyatt Duthu in the top of the third inning. Centenary answered in the bottom of the third with two runs of their own. 

Heading into the fourth inning, the Bears were trailing, 2-1. Luke Percifiel hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Kael Godshalk and tied the game at two.

Neither team put up runs until the bottom the ninth when Centenary hit an RBI single, winning the game, 3-2.

In game two, each team put up two in the first inning. In the bottom half, the Richard Barkley hit a two-run homer for the Bears, tying the game at two.

CGA took the lead in the bottom of the third, putting up three runs. However, they would not score again while Centernary added four runs. The Bears ultimately fell, 6-5.

Coast Guard will take on Bridgewater St. at 4 PM in March 8th.
