Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - In the final game of the season, the Coast Guard Bears Men's Basketball Team fell to the Springfield Pride with a final score of 92-65.
The Bears opened up the game with a dry spell, not putting up points until three minutes into the first quarter, which came off a Bryce VanderWiere free throw. Despite trailing for much of the half, the Bears managed to put up enough points to tie the game at 20 with seven minutes to go in the first.
The Pride took the lead again, with the Bears close behind. Going into halftime, CGA trailed, 40-31
Coast Guard was unable to keep up in the second half as Springfield pulled away.
Jarrod Jackson led the Bears in scoring on his senior day, putting up 20. Declan Rooney had 13 with Elijah Parent recording 11.
CGA closes out its season and looks ahead to next year.
