Box Score ALBANY, NY. – In their final game of the 2023 calendar year, the Bears took care of business in a 72-42 victory over Russell Sage College. This win(their 4th in a row) improves CGA to 9-2 overall. With the loss, Russell Sage falls to 2-9. Their next game is Friday January 5th at Utica.

CGA spread the scoring around with seven players scoring eight or more points but they were led by Sophomore forward Mackenzie Hilden. Hilden scored a career high 12 points and added 10 rebounds for her first career double double. The Bears were dominant on the boards, out rebounding  Russell Sage 57-34. Junior forward Glory Blethen led the way with 11, her fourth game this season with double digit rebounds. She also added nine points, three assists, and four blocks.

Coast Guard took an early lead in the 1st quarter and never relinquished, outscoring the Gators in each quarter. The Bears shot a season high 42.1% from three, going 8/19 from beyond the arc. Senior guard Kira Wood and sophomore guard Dorothy Stotts each made two threes to account for half of the Bears made three pointers.

The Bears will look to ride the momentum of this four game winning streak into 2024. Their next game is at Mitchell College January 3rd at 6pm.
