NORTON, Mass. -- The United States Coast Guard Academy Men's Basketball team lost to Wheaton College 99-60 in at the Haas Athletic Center in Norton, MA. The Lyons were led by Ty Murphy who had 19 points on 5-8 shooting from 3 and Alex Carlisle who had 18 points on 7-12 shooting. Aaron Williams chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Wheaton.

The Bears were led in scoring by first year player Trevor Parks (Oldsmar, FL) who had 15 points and five rebounds. First year player Elijah Parent (Bristol, CT) had 13 points on 5-10 shooting from the floor and also contributed 3 assists. Declan Rooney (So. Seattle, WA) rounded out the scoring for the Bears with 12 points. Bryce VanderWiere (So. Schoolcraft, MI) led the Bears in rebounding with 10. Wheaton is now 10-8 on the year and 5-3 in NEWMAC play while the Bears are 4-14 on the year and 2-6 in NEWMAC play.

The Bears are back in action on Wednesday, February 1, with a 7:30 pm game against Clark at home in Alumni Gymnasium.
