NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Coast Guard Bears faced off against the Babson Beavers in a Saturday afternoon matchup, where the Bears were unable to connect, falling with a final score of 79-60.

The first half was not in the Bears' favor as they found themselves down by as much as 19 at one point. Coast Guard struggled to knock down shots as Babson shot 60%.

Going into halftime, the Bears were down 42-28. 

The second half was much of the same. USCGA could not find the bottom of the net and turned the ball over five times, while BC continued to score. Any progress the Bears made was just not enough to close the gap.

Trevor Parks led USCGA in scoring with 12, followed by Declan Rooney with 11. Parks also recorded nine rebounds.

The Bears will be on the road on Wednesday, January 25th, facing WPI at 7 PM.
