WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Men's Basketball Team faced off against conference foe, Clark University, in a battle that ended with USCGA taking the win.

The Cougars scored first, but neither team would hit again for almost two minutes. The Bears eventually got on the board with a two by Jarrod Jackson, nearly three minutes into the game. 

While the first 20 minutes weren't looking good for Coast Guard, being down by as much as 14, they turned it around, with the offense hitting and the defense stepping up to keep Clark from scoring. With four and a half minutes remaining in the first half, the Bears were down, 33-24.

Clark would not score again for the remainder of the first and Coast Guard would take the lead heading into halftime, 37-33.

The second half was a much closer contest with each team taking the lead several times. USCGA would go on to get the victory with a final score of 74-68.

Declan Rooney led the Bears in scoring with 24 points, followed by Trevor Parks with 18. 

Coast Guard will play again on January 18th at 7:30 PM, taking on Springfield on the road.
