NORTON, Mass. – Coast Guard dropped just one set in winning its fourth straight a 9-0 win over host Wheaton in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match.
The Bears improve to 8-2 overall an 3-0 in the NEWMAC while the Lyons drop to 3-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Myles Decoste and Sean Dreher won 8-4 at #1 doubles, Charles Norman and Lucas Arora were 8-1 winners at #2 doubles while Paul Choi and Banks Evans posted an 8-4 win at #3 doubles as the Bears swept the doubles action for a 3-0 lead.
Decoste (#1 singles), Evans (#2 singles), Norman (#3 singles), Dreher (#4 singles), Arora (#5 singles) and Choi (#6 singles) then all posted singles wins to complete the sweep.
Coast Guard is back in action on Wednesday when they host Emerson in a NEWMAC match at 3:00.
