NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Coast Guard, ranked 10th in the Northeast region, swept singles play to win its seventh straight beating Endicott 8-1 on Senior Day.
The Bears honored their two seniors Lucas Arora and Jacob Schellman in a pre-match ceremony.
Coast Guard improves to 11-2 overall while the Gulls had their four match win streak snapped to drop to 8-9 on the season.
Myles Decoste and Sean Dreher won 8-4 at #1 singles while Charles Norman and Arora were 8-2 winners at #2 doubles as the Bears led 2-1 after doubles play.
The Bears cruised to victories to clinch the match as Decoste won at #1 singles 6-0, 6-1. Norman was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at #2 and Banks Evans recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles.
Dreher won 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles, Arora was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at #5 singles and Paul Choi won 6-3, 6-1 at #6 singles for Coast Guard.
Coast Guard closes out the regular season at Springfield on Saturday in a NEWMAC match at noon.
