This past weekend the Bears competed in the NEISA Fall Women's Championship for the Victoria Urn Trophy and The Open Fall Championship for the Schell Trophy.
NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Schell Trophy was hosted by Coast Guard with the top 18 teams in New England competing. The regatta saw light northerly breeze on both mornings with a nice sea breeze filling in on Saturday afternoon. 14 races were completed over the weekend with Coast Guard finishing fifth. Colman Schofield '25 and Lauren O'Neill '24 won B-Division by 27 points with only one finish outside of the top 5. A-Division was represented by Dan Unangst '24, Jack Farrell '23, Matt Kickhafer '23, and Charlie Mason '23.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Coast Guard Academy attended the Victoria Urn Trophy hosted by Brown University. The NEISA Women's Fall Championship had six of the top ten teams in the country attending and several other top twenty teams. Coast Guard finished seventh with Emily Bornarth '24 and Mia Quinlan '25 in A-Division and Emma Snead '23 and Leo Krajewski '23 in B-Division.
Next weekend the Bears travel to Annapolis, MD for the Kennedy Cup and Norfolk, VA for the Open Singlehanded National Championship.
