Bears Fall at Babson

BABSON PARK, Mass.-- Colin Bradanese scored 21 points leading Babson men's basketball to an 89-72 victory over Coast Guard in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears drop to 3-11 overall and 0-5 in the NEWMAC, while the Beavers improve to 15-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Bradanese led all players with 21 points and Nate Amado tallied a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kieran Dorney (19) and Rob Crouch (11) each scored in double figures for Babson.

Freshman Ben Yagey had 16 points to lead the Bears. Declan Rooney (14) and Madison Maloney (13) each scored in double figures and freshman Cameron Brown had his first career double-double with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

Babson shot 52.2 percent (36-69) from the field and connected 41.7 percent (10-24) from three-point range while the Bears were 28-74 (37.8 percent) from the field and 25.9 percent (7-27) from behind the arc.

The Beavers led 43-34 at halftime and Babson used an 11-2 run early in the second half, taking a 56-41 lead with 15:30 left. 

The Bears are back in action on Monday January 24 on the road at Wheaton at 7 PM.
