HARTFORD, Conn. – Liz Althoff had a game-high 18 points leading Trinity to a 53-45 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference game.

Trinity is now 1-1 while Coast Guard drops to 2-2 on the season.

Emma Puddington led the Bears with 12 points while Kira Wood added 11 points in the loss. Kyra Hartman led Coast Guard with ten rebounds.

Coast Guard led 24-18 after the first quarter, but the Bears were held to 21 points total in the final three quarters.

Trinity was 19 of 58 shooting (32.8 percent) and the Bantams made just 1 of 11 from beyond the arc. The Bears were 14-53 from the floor (26.4 percent) while connecting on 9 of 22 from 3-point range (40.2 percent).

The Bears are back in action on Friday when they host Fisher at 7:00.
