NEW LONDON, Conn. – Amanda Dake hit. 406 and had a match-high 14 kills to go with 11 digs leading host Coast Guard to a 3-0 win over rival and neighbor Connecticut College in a non-conference game.

The Bears won 28-26, 25-23, 25-20 to improve to 14-6 overall while the Camels drop to 5-10.

Sophia Galdamez added 11 kills and nine digs, Kaela France had a team-high 18 digs while Noelle Tursky led the way with a match-high 34 assists to go with 10 digs. Maddie James added eight kills in the win for Coast Guard.

Christina Leduc and Katherine Randall each had eight kills to lead Conn. College. Julia Dailey led the Camels with 23 digs while Natasha Shrivastava led the team with 25 assists.

The Camels led 8-3 in the opening set before Coast Guard pulled even 14-14. The game was tied 10 times with seven lead changes. Coast Guard would win 28-26.

Conn. College led 15-13 in the second before the Bears used a 7-1 spurt to take a 20-16 lead and hold on for the 25-23 win.

Coast Guard led the final set from start to finish. The Bears opened up a 14-9 and never looked back winning 25-20.

The Bears are back in action on Saturday at Endicott at 5:00.
