NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Mid Atlantic Rifle Conference (MAC) has recognized members of the Bears rifle team for outstanding performance on shooting range and in the classroom.
The Bears went undefeated in conference and swept the MAC Championship, in both team and individual events, and that success was reflected when five cadets were named to the All-conference Smallbore team.
Junior Seth Strayer, who won both the smallbore and air rifle individual championships at the conference championship, and Hunter Blankenship, along with sophomore Bryce Sturtz and freshman Rose Reynolds were named to the first team with freshman Berit Bedord was a second team member.
All-conference Air Rifle team member followed the same pattern, Strayer, Blankenship and Sturtz were members of the first team, while Bedord and Reynolds swapped places, Bedord on first team and Reynolds on second.
A trio of freshman, Bedord, Reynolds and Dane Harbison were All-Rookie team selections.
Blankenship, Strayer, Strutz, and sophomore Matt Kim were named to the MAC All Academic Team.
