Strong Offense Sends Bears Past Emerson

BOSTON, Mass.-- Junior Riley McNulty tallied seven points to lead Coast Guard men's lacrosse to a 17-2 victory over Emerson in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Wednesday night. The Bears are now 12-3 overall and 5-1 in the NEWMAC.

McNulty scored four goals and added three assists and sophomore Will Iorio tallied three goals and two assists to lead the Bears. Junior Logan Morin also recorded a hat trick in the victory. Seven other players scored a goal each for Coast Guard.

Skyler Celotto and Jared Brush both scored a goal each for Emerson.

The Bears scored nine goals in the first quarter and two in the second to take an 11-0 lead at halftime.

Coast Guard extended the lead by four in the third quarter, 15-0.

Emerson broke the shutout, scoring two goals of their own in the fourth quarter. The Bears scored two more to take the 17-2 final.

All four goalkeepers saw action for the Bears. Coast Guard outshot Emerson 46-26.

Coast Guard is back in action at home on Saturday at 3:00 PM when they host Babson for senior day.
