CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coast Guard battled New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) power MIT, but fell 7-2.

Thomas Hackett and Jack Phillips won 8-3 at #1 doubles, while the Bears #2 doubles team of Kyle Fager and Chris Lansing as well as the #3 team of Arthur Wicke and Lucas Arora both played well before both lost 8-6.

In singles action, Phillips would win 7-6, 7-5 at #5 singles for the Bears only singles point.

MIT improves to 7-5 overall and 4-0 in the NEWMAC while the Bears drop to 6-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The Bears are back in action on Wednesday when they host Conn. College at 3:30.
