NEW LONDON, Conn. – Coast Guard didn't drop a set in posting a 9-0 win over Clark in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match.

Coast Guard improves to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in the NEWMAC while Clark dips to 8-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play. It was the third straight 9-0 match for the Bears with Coast Guard winning three of those four.

Tom Hackett breezed to a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles, Arthur Wicke, in the tightest match of the day, was a 7-6, 7-5 winner at #2 singles while Kyle Fager won 6-2, 6-1 at #3 singles.

Chris Lansing (#4 singles), Jack Phillips (#5 singles) and Lucas Arora (#6 singles) all posed 6-2, 6-4 wins for Coast Guard.

In doubles action, Hackett and Phillips at #1 and Fager and Lansing at #2 were 8-4 winners while Wicke and Arora posted an 8-0 win.

The Bears are back in action on Saturday in a NEWMAC match at MIT at 1:00.
