NEW LONDON, Conn. – New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) power #22 MIT blanked the Bears 9-0.

Coast Guard suffers its first NEWMAC loss of the season as the Bears are now 5-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play while MIT improves to 12-2 overall and 4-0 in the NEWMAC.

Tom Hackett and Jack Phillips battled at #1 singles before falling 9-8, 7-5 in the tiebreaker as MIT swept the doubles matches.

In singles play, MIT won all six matches in straight sets.

The Bears are back in action on Wednesday when they host Babson in a NEWMAC match at 3:30.
