Bears Blanked in Georgia Finale

EMERSON, Ga. – Centre had four different pitchers combine on a six-hit shutout as the Colonels beat Coast Guard 8-0 to complete the three-game series sweep at the Perfect Game Complex.

Centre scored five times in the top of third on four hits, a walk a two hit batters to take control of the game.

Zach Serna had two hits in the game, his second straight multiple hit game after getting three hits in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday.

Jake Behne, Alex Cordes, Kyle Jackson and Alex Murdoch also hit safely for the Bears.

Dan Finn threw 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Joe Siciliano and Justin Rebholz each threw a scoreless inning for Coast Guard.

Coast Guard returns home today and will be back in action on March 4th against Rockford at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. Where the Bears will play eight games.
