CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coast Guard did not drop at set in beating Emerson 9-0 in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match played at Harvard.
Coast Guard improves to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the NEWMAC while Emerson drops to 2-7 and 0-4.
The Bears won both the #1 doubles of Mark Guentert and Weston Fortna and the #2 doubles of Robert Renfrow and Michael Melampy without dropping a set winning both matches 8-0.
In singles action, Melampy (#4 singles) and Benson Errington (#6 singles) did not drop a set winning 6-0, 6-0.
The Bears close out the regular season when they host Clark on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
