Bears Fall to Judges

Waltham, Mass. - The Bears played their second match of the spring season today against Brandeis University.  The Bears fought hard, but it wasn't enough against the #33 ranked team in the nation as they fell 9-0.

Despite the 9-0 loss, Head Coach CDR Michael Turdo was encouraged by his team's overall effort.  "We've put together a very tough non-conference schedule that includes some nationally ranked opponents," said CDR Turdo. "It's a great opportunity for our team, especially the three freshman that are in the starting lineup, to gain experience against some of the top teams in the Northeast.  I was encouraged by the way we fought today, especially the performances at number four and number five singles and number two doubles.  We'll need to rebound quickly and build upon this match to ensure we're ready for Kings Point on Tuesday."

The Bears fall to 2-2 on the season and the Judges increased their record too 3-5.

They will host rival U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Tuesday. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 start time in the Roland Field House.
