Men's Tennis Beats Johnson & Wales 7-2

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Coast Guard won four of six singles matches and swept the doubles to beat Johnson & Wales 7-2 in a non-conference match.

Robert Renfrow won 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles, Mark Guentert won 6-1, 6-1 at #2 singles, Weston Fortna registered a 6-0, 6-1 win at #3 singles while Andrew Bryson won 6-2, 6-2 at #5 singles.

Guentert and Fortna won 8-4 at #1 doubles, Jon Lightner and Bryson won 8-2 at #2 doubles while Renfrow and Erik Oredson picked up an 8-1 win at #3 doubles.

Coast Guard improves to 2-6 on the season and the Bears will be back in action on Saturday when they play at Clark in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener at 1 p.m.
