Kaylee Wright (Plainwell, Mich.), senior sprinter
Alaina Stonebraker (Salt Lake City, Utah), and the 4 x 400-meter relay team of
Ella Besant (Morehead, Ky.),
Millie Wymbs (Salisbury, N.C.),
Tara Jessen (Signal Mountain, Tenn.), and Stonebraker all set new school records as the United States Coast Guard Academy women's track & field team placed seventh at the 2026 New England Division III (NED3) Indoor Championships on Sunday, March 1st. The Bears recorded six top-8 finishes for All-NED3 honors during the day.
Wright bounded for 11.15 meters (36' 7") to take fifth place and her second career All-NED3 recognition in the triple, and placed tenth in long jump earlier in the day at 5.32 meters (17' 5.5"). Besant, Wymbs, Jessen, and Stonebraker also earned some All-NED3 hardware with their record-setting time of 3:50.30 being fourth-best in the field. Relays were strong for the Bears all day with the distance medley relay grouping of
Mia Mastrogiovanni (Manakawkin, N.J.),
Chloe Middleton (McLean, Va.),
Gabrielle Shord (Laurel, Md.), and
Amanda Delevan (Boiling Springs, Pa.) taking fifth at 12:32.60, a new CGA #10, and the 4 x 200-meter relay team of
Starr Hepburn (Stafford, Va.),
Bianca McIntosh (Woodbridge, Va.),
Thuy Nguyen (Camden, Ga.), and
Jocelyn Rush (Toms River, N.J.) placing eighth with a time of 1:43.89 for a new CGA #2.
Rounding out the relays was a tenth-place effort of 9:38.62 in the 4 x 800-meter relay by Mastrogiovanni, Middleton, Shord, and Delevan. Freshman distance specialist
Kevyn Fish (Pittsburgh, Pa.) started her NED3 career by placing 13th in the 5k at 17:54.30, an improvement on her CGA #6 standing.
Claire Semerod (Centennial, Colo.) picked up her first All-NED3 medal in the 3k with a 10:01.70 pace for seventh place.
In sprints, Stonebraker's 400 meters time of 56.69 seconds re-set her own Academy record in the event while finishing as the meet's third-best time. USCGA's fastest woman ran 25.42 seconds for 11th in the 200 meters later in the day. Stonebraker's relay-mate Besant also moved up the program leaderboards with an effort of 1:36.94 I the 600 meters, a new CGA #2.
Mollie Brinker (Wilmington, N.C.) was 15th in pole vault with a 3.35-meter (10' 11.75"). Jump events saw
Hailey Corritore (Erie, Pa.) finish behind Wright in triple at 16th with a best attempt of 10.59 meters (34' 9"), while twin sister
Ella Corritore (Erie, Pa.) was 19th in high jump at 1.53 meters (5' 0.25").
Bears women's track & field now looks ahead to final qualifier weekend for their next slate of competitions. Qualifying and entering athletes will take on the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) All-New England Championships, while those looking to try and shake up the entry sheets in Birmingham, Alabama, will take on the Tufts Final Qualifier. Both meets are scheduled for the upcoming weekend of Friday, March 6th, and Saturday the 7th.
