Allie Wildsmith (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) competed in high jump at the USATF Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 28th, placing eighth in a field featuring three Olympians and a U.S. Olympic Trials champion.
The last time WIldsmith did not place first in a contest was the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, where she placed 13th. She started her day at USATF by clearing the opening height of 1.75 meters (5' 8.5"), the highest opening clearance of her career, before knocking down the bar on all three of her attempts at 1.79m (5' 10.5").
