NEW LONDON, Conn. –

Today, The United States Coast Guard Academy and New Balance are proud to reveal the year's Secretaries' Cup uniform. The special edition uniform will be worn at the Secretaries' Cup game vs the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Nov. 14 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm EST, and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The game at Audi Field offers the opportunity to celebrate both USA 250 and the Coast Guard in our nation's capital.

This year's matchup marks the second time in the rivalry's history that the game will be played off campus and in a professional sports stadium. Audi Field is the home of the DC United of Major League Soccer.

Originally designated the Secretary's Cup in 1981 when both Academies were under the Department of Transportation, the contest's name was pluralized in 2003 when the U.S. Coast Guard moved to the Department of Homeland Security. The cup is now shared between the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of Transportation. Often referred to as the "small college" version of the Army-Navy game, the matchup marks the final game of the regular season for NCAA Division III football.

The theme for the 2026 uniform is Coast Guard aviation, a vital unit in ensuring maritime safety and security.

The back name plate is emblazoned with the Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer motto "So Others May Live". The same motto will be on the gear that our coaches will wear on the sideline for the game!

On the shoulders is the iconic Orange, White, & Blue Coast Guard striping. The "USCG" on both the chest and helmet, as well as the numbers on the front and back are drawn directly from the aircraft typography.

The "USCG" initials pay tribute to the more than 46,000 active-duty men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard as we play for Coast Guard, not just the Academy.

The reflective stickering on the helmet mimics AST Rescue helmet details. On the back of the helmet, each player will don the logo of one of the 24 Coast Guard Air Stations across the United States.
