Stotts Earns NEWMAC First Team All-Conference Nod

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  -  The New England Men's & Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has released their 2024-25 postseason awards for women's basketball. Coast Guard junior Dorothy Stotts (Edina, Minn.) was revealed as a First Team All-Conference selection following her superb offensive performance this season.

"Congratulations to Dorothy on being named First Team All-Conference in the NEWMAC," said Coast Guard head coach Alex Ivansheck. "It is great when a player's hard work and drive to improve is paid off with recognition as one of the top players in the league."

Stotts averaged a conference-leading 18.5 points per game while helping the Bears secure their fourth straight NEWMAC Championship Tournament appearance. The junior was also in the top three in the NEWMAC in three-point percentage (38.1%) and top four in field goal percentage (47.1%) and assists per game (3.5).

With the selection, Stotts becomes the first player to receive NEWMAC First Team honors since Meghan Fornaro (Class of '16) following the 2015-16 season. Stotts also became just the 12th player in Bears women's basketball history to break the 1,000-point mark, reaching the milestone on January 25th at Emerson College.

"We are very proud of Dottie and her accomplishments thus far and look forward to seeing her continue to excel during her senior season!" says Ivansheck.
